Reaearch Fellowships 2011
– Queens’ College
The College intends to appoint up to two Research Fellows from 1 October 2011 for a period of three years. The Fellowships are open to men and women graduates of any university who:
(1) are members of the College engaged in research in any field, or
(2) not being members of the College, are engaged in research in
one of the following subject areas: Economics; Biology.
Applications for the Research Fellowship in from scholars offering a research specialism in microeconomic theory would be particularly welcome.
Applications for the Research Fellowship in Biology from scholars offering a research specialism in Physiology or Ecology would be particularly welcome.
Applicants should be at an early stage in their academic careers and have completed, or be about to complete, their PhD by 1 October 2011. Candidates who have their own source of funding are eligible for a non-stipendiary award and are encouraged to apply.

A completed application will include the following items in a single large envelope: the application form itself; a current curriculum vitae including a full list of publications; two signed references in sealed envelopes, countersigned across the seal; a statement of research on one side of A4 paper; a sample of research (no more than 5,000 words); and the names and full contact details of three subject specialists who can comment on the research sample (these persons must not be the applicant’s referees).
